Future Fabrics Expo (FFE) 2025 returned to the 3,200 sqm Magazine London in June, welcoming over 2,000 visitors from around the world looking to source sustainably and responsibly produced, best practice, and certified materials for fashion, footwear, home and interiors.

FFE is the largest showcase dedicated exclusively to sourcing these best-practice materials, which can replace traditional fibres such as virgin polyester and conventional cotton that currently dominate the global fibre portfolio. FFE’s unique platform combines sourcing, knowledge and education to equip creative professionals with the insights and tools to drive positive change at scale.

This year marked the 15th anniversary of The Sustainable Angle (TSA), the Swiss not-for-profit organisation that set up FFE in 2011. Through FFE, TSA continues to support the fashion, home and interiors industries to transition away from fossil-fuel based, conventional, polluting materials to a just, nature-positive, low-carbon, circular economy that operates within planetary boundaries and contributes to climate solutions.

Future Fabrics Expo also provides a platform for cutting edge innovators who are developing solutions for the fashion industry of tomorrow. Our popular Seminar Series ran alongside the showcase to amplify key Expo themes, gathering global thought leaders and industry pioneers throughout the value chain to discuss insights, opportunities and action plans for the industry to tackle the climate crisis and biodiversity loss, while building resilient supply chains.

Future Fabrics Expo 2025 was the Flagship Event for Fashion & Textiles at London Climate Action Week 2025.

SEMINAR SERIES

Held alongside FFE 2025, our popular Seminar Series brought together global industry experts, brands, innovators, and thought leaders from across the fashion and textile industries. These insightful conversations explored the urgent challenges we face as an industry, went deeper into the solutions displayed in the Innovation Hub, and shared learnings from our exhibitors: from regenerative farming practices growing regenerative cotton, to plastic-free leather alternatives.

INNOVATION HUB
supported by Performance Days and Functional Fabric Fair

The Innovation Hub showcased cutting-edge breakthroughs and prototypes in material science poised to positively change the materials landscape. New to FFE 2025 was the Innovation Hive — an extended area designed to spark conversations between investors and early-stage, funding-ready innovators. Living Systems Lab at Central Saint Martins, UAL, presented a selection of PhD research projects highlighting the value of design-led research to innovate for the textile sector.

RE-SOLVE LAB

Also new to FFE 2025, RE-SOLVE Lab focused on circularity by mapping systems pathways to capture the value locked in discarded materials. It showcased groundbreaking material technologies that are transforming undervalued waste into scalable, impactful solutions across fashion, home, interiors, and beyond.

FOOTWEAR HUB

The Footwear Hub mapped the complex multi-material compositions and waste challenges in this impactful product category. The showcase of forward-thinking footwear featured ingenious design strategies and fresh approaches, ranging from speculative prototypes to commercially-viable solutions.

HOME & INTERIORS AREA

This section featured diverse design solutions and installations, such as furniture, lighting, home textiles, and product design. It also spotlighted alternative methods of upholstery created without synthetics and toxic flame retardants.

FFE LAUNCHPAD

This new area spotlit cutting-edge commercially available materials, integrated with design ingenuity, and were launched for the first time at FFE — providing inspiration and signalling how the industry can adopt material innovations.
